A recap for Adhesion:
The judges provided good criticism, especially the last one, Robert Sanger. It was very obvious that he was qualified to judge the material we presented. However, he basically turned our project upside-down by telling us that compliance has nothing to do with the failure force of an adhesive...so we'll need to talk about that at the UMass meeting on March 18th. I (Nasim), however, will not be able to go next week, so the rest of the team will have to talk about it. The other judges were really impressed that we (high school students) found a creative way to measure failure force through spring compliance. We ended up in 3rd place, a job well done, considering the fact that we're a new group this year!
