Science Fair

ALL FINISHED
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the science fair, we need to get several things finished, quickly. The major and only thing we (as a new group) have to deal with is the Research Plan. It's basically an abstract of what our experiment is:
1. Question/Hypothesis
2. Hypothesis/Goals
3. Detailed description of Procedure(s)
4. Bibliography (at least 5 sources)

The fair will take place on March 11, 2011 (my birthday by the way). So keep that date open. Also, the science fair only allows us to bring 3 members. We have to decide which three of us are going. Those of you who know the information and project best will most likely be chosen. One other thing to consider: SENIORS, last year's MIT State Fair was on the day of High Meadow. If you are committed to the team and are willing to skip High Meadow (if the fair falls on the same date), you can come. But you can NOT go to the Regional Fair and not go to the State Fair. Both groups from last year were disqualified because members from each team were not present. So if you want to go, AND WIN, contribute to the group project, show your commitment, and learn the information.

I (Nasim) have had experience going to the science fair. So those of you who have questions, please ask. I'm willing to help out as much as I can. It's a really fun event to be a part of. Last years' teams enjoyed their time at the fair and were able to see the plethora of experiments from other schools. They were cool, BUT we're more interesting and complex. The complexity of our projects will definitely grab the attention of the judges. So let's make like last year's Hydrogel Group and WIN 1st place!

However, those of you chosen to go to the science fair need to fill out some forms. And the team does too. So two more things to get accomplished:
1. Student form
2. Team form

Trust me, if we can get this project going, fast, we can definitely be one of the top groups at the science fair. It's so much fun!
